Taking a break from my painting and printmaking I made rare foray into photography. The idea for the photographs of mundane things such as rubber bands came when I was idly playing with stray ones and I became interested in the resulting shapes. As I staged the rubber bands the concept of transforming them into something barely recognizable took hold. Using the retouch tool on the computer as a brush  I smeared the image confusing the foreground and background and dislocating the image.
