I have taken a long break from working in the studio proper. Instead I have been working with camera and computer to subvert the purpose of the camera as a recording device. Starting with an original source photo I use just the basic tools on my computer to rearrange the photo beyond recognition. The process involves editing and re-editing, sometimes numerous times. I continue to use automatism as a guiding principle in this work. A group of series have grown out of this work. The individual series use one source photograph but each edited version is different. I am putting together a show proposal and soon as I am done with that I will post the series here and elsewhere. Effacement 3 is a sample of the work I have been doing.
