Taking a break from my painting and printmaking I made a rare foray into photography. The idea for the photographs of mundane things such as rubber bands came when I was idly playing with stray ones and I became interested in the resulting shapes. I began to look for other everyday items. I then photographed washers, nuts, bolts, and other small items that are often overlooked.
